Port Festival 2015 foray

The Port Festival held on the 10th and 11th of October was my first market as a working artist.

The market space was very busy and well patronized, with lots of free entertainment and tourist spaces open to the public. The organisers are to be congratulated on a well run event.

There were lots of very generous comments on my work by the people willing to stop and peruse which was pleasing as it is sometimes hard to be subjective about your own work. This has boosted my confidence no end and given me the courage to continue to create and to put myself out there.

I am still coming to terms with announcing myself as an artist in my own right but since retiring earlier this month I believe I have earned the right and am excited to embark on my new career.

I will be displaying my work at the Murray Bridge Regional Gallery Sixth St handmade on Saturday 7th October .
